Baby Products I Wish Were Around When I had Babies

baby products

It’s only been 7 years since I’ve had a baby in the house, but just like every other industry, the baby industry has developed new technology and advanced considerably in the last decade. Some of my friends had their babies more recently and I am super jealous of these 10 things and wish they were around when I needed them. These are my top 10 Baby Products I wish were around when I had a baby.

Why I Love My Kids But I Don’t Always Like Them

Baby Products For on The Go

Jogging Stroller

I did not buy a jogging stroller because a) I don’t jog so I didn’t think it was necessary and b) depending on the brand, they can be really expensive. I dealt with a regular stroller that always had a wonky wheel, was hard to steer, hard to fold down, and I had to replace it at least two times anyway. I wish I had just spent more money up front and got a high-quality stroller.

Baby Dome

I saw a family on the beach with this and I thought it was genius. This would be especially helpful if you have older kids and still need to tote the baby to activities and sporting events.

Baby Brezza

This is like a Keurig for baby formula. I cannot tell you how jealous I am of this invention. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to your crying baby, just pressing start as your eyes adjust, and in a minute you have a bottle that is perfectly mixed and the right temperature. Amazing. This is expensive, definitely the most expensive thing on this list. But if you get this for your first child and can use it for multiple children after that, I think it’s a great deal.

Willow Hands-Free Pump

The bag is IN THE PUMP! Again, this is not cheap, the best price I could find was HERE on Amazon for $499, but I really think this would pay for itself in the end. I had a pump that had to be plugged in so I was sitting in a chair for what seemed like forever. It would have been so nice to be able to walk around and possibly check some stuff off my to-do list while pumping.

Products for Better Sleeping

Dock-a-Tot

I co-slept with all my babies and I would have LOVED this product. You get to be super close to your baby but also feel like they’re safer than just laying in your bed. And it looks so cozy!

Video Baby Monitor With App

I didn’t link to a certain monitoring system, because I am just so impressed with this general concept. 11 years ago when I had a newborn, I had the “new” technology of a bulky screen on my nightstand and a big camera haphazardly mounted in their room. It was grainy and hard to make out what they were doing, especially at night. I love that there’s an app now so you can have it on your phone and see the baby from anywhere. Technology has come so far!

3-in-1 Humidifier

I love products that multitask so Fridababy had me at “3 in 1.” This is a nightlight, humidifier, and essential oil diffuser. This will free up space in your already crowded nursery and is so practical. Don’t wait until your baby has their first cold-get that humidifier now!

Moby Recline and Rinse Bathtub

Speaking of products that multitask…HERE YOU GO. Apparently, you can use it on the countertop as well as in the sink or tub. No more bulky plastic tub with a weird hammock in it that was hard to clean. That’s great when you are at a hotel or traveling, or just need to do a quicker bath.

Shopping Cart Hammock

This looks so much more comfortable than their car seat. You might actually get to finish a shopping trip without crying! Look at how much room it will save too. You can put groceries under the baby and in the front of the cart too.

Joovy Spoon Baby Walker

“But wait, I thought walkers were dangerous.” Right?! Me too! You couldn’t even buy one a few years ago, and you definitely got side eyed if you had one from a garage sale or saved from an older relative. Joovy made some necessary safety upgrades and it’s all ready for your little one to cruise around!

I want to know what products YOU wish were around when you had babies! Maybe you have babies now and couldn’t live without something. Tell me in the comments!
